Growing together, rooted in community
Cùng nhau phát triển, bén rễ trong cộng đồng
Founded in 2018 by Vietnamese community members in Seattle, Lotus Learning Center emerged from a simple truth: access to education should never be a barrier to success.
Our founders, Mai Nguyen and Thanh Pham, recognized that many Vietnamese immigrants faced significant challenges in accessing quality educational resources. Language barriers, financial constraints, and unfamiliarity with American systems created obstacles that seemed insurmountable.
What started as informal tutoring sessions in a community center basement has grown into a comprehensive educational support network serving over 500 students annually. We take our name from the lotus flower—a powerful symbol in Vietnamese culture representing growth, resilience, and beauty emerging from challenging conditions.
